Stray Kids Lights Up Seoul for Biore UV’s Global Splash
Kao Corporation’s sunscreen brand, Biore UV, kicked off its global campaign, ‘SUNLIGHT IS YOUR SPOTLIGHT.’, with an electrifying event in Seongsu, South Korea. The ‘YOUR ONE AND ONLY. Biore Global Brand Event’ saw all eight members of the globally acclaimed K-Pop group, Stray Kids, take the stage to unveil their first-ever musical collaboration with Biore UV: the anthem film featuring their self-produced song, ‘Endless Sun.’

The event marked a significant step in Biore UV’s global expansion, particularly its full-scale entry into the highly competitive Korean market. Emi Kobayashi, Biore Skincare Business Division Manager at Kao Corporation, emphasized the strategic importance, stating, “Korea is one of the most critical hubs for Biore’s global strategy. Challenging the highly skin-conscious Korean market is a vital step for Biore to evolve into an even more global brand.”

Japanese Actress Natsuki Deguchi Joins the Celebration
Japanese actress Natsuki Deguchi, known for her appearances in Biore UV commercials in Japan, also graced the event. Dressed in a elegant white gown, Deguchi delighted the audience with a Korean greeting. During a talk session, she demonstrated the new ‘Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence,’ which is newly launched in Korea. Sharing her sensory experience, Deguchi remarked, “It’s incredibly fresh and I love it. It blends smoothly into the skin, and I can see my skin looking radiant.”

When asked about her summer plans, she added, “Since I want to go out and enjoy the sun in summer, sunscreen is essential. I want to go to the beach, go shopping, and also enjoy delicious food in Korea (laughs).”
Stray Kids Unveils ‘Endless Sun’ Anthem Film

Following the world premiere of the ‘Endless Sun’ anthem film, the eight members of Stray Kids appeared on stage to thunderous applause. Lee Know reflected on the filming experience, saying, “It was a really fun memory filming in Australia. I’m happy with how beautiful the visuals turned out.” Felix shared a vivid anecdote about a scene where he ‘hugged the sun’: “When I hugged the sun at the beginning of the film, I felt the unique Australian sunlight after a long time. Seeing the beautiful scenery near the beach, I thought, ‘It was truly a great choice to film the Biore UV film here.'”

Hyunjin playfully recounted a scene involving tossing and catching a Biore UV bottle. He initially joked it was CGI, only to reveal he succeeded on the first try. Encouraged by the MC, he flawlessly demonstrated the trick live on stage, followed by Felix, igniting cheers from the audience.
HAN articulated the profound message behind their collaborative song, ‘Endless Sun’: “When Bang Chan, Changbin, and I composed this song, we thought about ‘sunlight.’ We consider sunlight a spotlight that always shines on us, and we beautifully infused that feeling into the lyrics. It carries the message, ‘We are beings who shine from birth. Let’s carve our own path.'”
Interactive Moments and Future Aspirations
An engaging UV camera demonstration followed, where members applied Biore UV to each other, highlighting the product’s coverage on a monitor. Their playful banter filled the venue with excitement.

When asked about their private aspirations with Biore UV, Seungmin shared, “Even with strong UV rays, Biore UV will protect us, so I want to go to the beach or camping with the members.” I.N expressed his wishes for their fandom, STAY: “I want to create new content with STAY. I hope to meet many STAYs this year.”

Bang Chan concluded the event with a heartfelt message, “We hope everyone shines under the sun with Biore UV. We hope you show interest and love for our music, anthem film, and many other contents.”
