Rough x Laugh Ignites a New Era with 1st Album ‘Watashi Fanfare’
After three years of captivating performances and a steady rise in the idol scene, Rough x Laugh officially released their long-awaited 1st album, 『わたしファンファーレ』 (Watashi Fanfare), on December 17, 2025. This album arrives as a significant milestone for the group, marking their third anniversary and setting the stage for their ambitious one-man show at KT Zepp Yokohama on March 9, 2026, with their ultimate sights set on the legendary Budokan.

The album is a vibrant collection that includes their cherished debut tracks alongside four newly produced songs. These new additions feature compelling collaborations, such as “Nan Mankai” (何満開), an emotional rock anthem produced by Ayumi Tamura (tamurapan), and “On Your Mark,” a fresh composition penned by Keizo Nakanishi. Adding a deeply personal touch, member Funa Sasaki has self-produced two tracks, “Ichigo Hachikai” (一期八会) and “Kietaku naru hodo Kimi ga Suki da” (消えたくなるほど君が好きだ), showcasing the group’s evolving artistry and creative depth.
“Nan Mankai,” the lead track, resonates with themes of overcoming doubt and embracing one’s journey through countless steps. Its music video has already garnered over 290,000 views, with fans expressing sentiments like, “It reminded me of the moment when my efforts were rewarded” and “It gives me the courage to move forward into the future.”
Rough x Laugh has demonstrated remarkable momentum throughout 2025, hosting sold-out events at prestigious venues including Shinagawa Intercity Hall, Hulic Hall Tokyo, and Daikanyama UNIT. Their official YouTube channel boasts over 73,000 subscribers, reflecting a strong and growing fanbase. Having honed their skills through a successful five-city live house tour across Japan, this album is viewed as a crucial launching pad for their upcoming KT Zepp Yokohama performance.
Producer Nobuyuki Sakuma shared his pride, stating, “When I first met them, they were always looking down, but through many tears and laughter, they grew stronger and shone brighter. Now, they are members I can truly be proud of anywhere they go. Whether you’re new to them or already a fan, there are many fresh discoveries to be made. Please, come meet them!”
Leader Arisa Saito expressed her joy, saying, “This is our long-awaited album, filled with our dreams, hopes, and past journey. We’ve received so many requests from our fans to hear Rough x Laugh’s songs on CD, and I’m overjoyed that we could finally fulfill that dream.” Funa Sasaki added, “‘Watashi Fanfare’ is Rough x Laugh’s first album and first CD! It’s a diverse album packed with Rough x Laugh’s essence, charting our journey since our debut. I even wrote and composed four songs, two of which are brand new for this album. It feels like a dream to have four of my songs included, and I poured my heart into crafting each one.”
