Star-Studded Opening Ceremony Kicks Off the Festivities
Just ahead of the grand opening, on March 26, 2026, a spectacular “100% Doraemon & Friends in Tokyo Opening Ceremony” was held. The stage was graced by Doraemon and his friends Nobita, Shizuka, Gian, and Suneo, alongside special guests Yuno Nagao and the QuizKnock brothers, Toma and Togen. Having enjoyed an exclusive preview of the venue, the guests shared their excitement for the event. Yuno Nagao expressed her delight, stating, “I’ve seen so many different Doraemons I’ve never encountered before, and they are 100% cute with wonderful expressions. I don’t think you’ll ever get to meet so many different Doraemons, so I hope everyone comes to ‘100% Doraemon & Friends in Tokyo’ and finds their favorite Doraemon.”

Dive Deep into Doraemon’s Universe: “100% Doraemon Manga World Exhibition”
Central to the event is the “100% Doraemon Manga World Exhibition,” a journey through nine meticulously crafted areas that span from the origins of Fujiko F. Fujio’s creativity to cutting-edge digital technology, promising a 100% immersive Doraemon experience.
One of the most intimate displays is the “Sensei’s Desk” area, a faithful recreation of Fujiko F. Fujio’s actual workspace. Visitors can sense the artist’s passion and the very breath of his creative process, tracing Doraemon’s journey from conception to the present day.

The “World of Tentomushi Comics” offers an interactive experience where five iconic scenes, themed around “friendship,” “family,” “courage,” and “future,” are brought to life in life-sized displays, making visitors feel as though they’ve stepped directly into the manga world.

Further enhancing the visual feast, the “Colorful Doraemon Corridor” serves as a delightful photo spot, showcasing Doraemon’s myriad expressions. Adjacent to this, reproductions of original artwork allow for a close examination of Fujiko F. Fujio’s delicate touch and diverse artistic techniques.

“Nobita’s Manga Room” presents a highlight with 3D projection mapping, bringing to life carefully selected famous scenes from all 45 volumes of the Tentomushi Comics “Doraemon.” This creates a deeply immersive narrative experience, drawing visitors into the heart of the stories.

Dedicated to the 17 long-form “Doraemon” films personally crafted by Fujiko F. Fujio, another area features ten wall productions and thirty original drawings, filled with life-sized Doraemons that seem to leap from the pages, embodying the grand narratives of these epic adventures.

Finally, the “Doraemon’s 100% Secret Gadget Room” focuses on Doraemon’s signature “secret gadgets.” Here, visitors can marvel at iconic tools like the “Time Cloth,” “Air Cannon,” and “Take-copter,” seemingly pulled directly from the Fourth-Dimensional Pocket.

Expansive Outdoor Park and Exclusive Merchandise
The outdoor “100% Doraemon Park” extends across three major locations: Symbol Promenade Park, Tsudoi Bridge, and Tokyo Dream Park. At Symbol Promenade Park, visitors are greeted by a colossal 12-meter Doraemon balloon, a true symbol of the event. It stands majestically amidst Doraemons dressed in movie costumes, unique manga and anime renditions, and exclusive Japan-original designs, including Doraemons adorned as cherry blossoms, sumo wrestlers, onigiri, and shiba inu.

Tsudoi Bridge features the “100% Blue Carpet,” where Doraemon and other beloved Fujiko F. Fujio characters gather in formal attire. Both of these outdoor areas collaborate with TOKYO GREEN BIZ, offering activities that allow visitors to appreciate the importance of environment and nature while having fun. For instance, an AR stamp rally, “Doraemon and Green Walk AR Stamp Rally,” enables participants to use their smartphones to see Doraemon with his “Fantaglass” interacting with plants.

At the DREAM TERRACE on the 6th floor of Tokyo Dream Park, visitors can take photos with whimsical Doraemons, such as those depicting roasted sweet potatoes, Dracula, or ghosts. The “100% Doraemon & Friends Ukiuki Kitchen with BOSCO Olive Oil” also offers visually appealing and delicious special menus. Additionally, a free area on the side terrace of Tokyo Dream Park showcases a variety of life-sized Doraemons with diverse expressions and poses.
Exclusive to the event, a lavish lineup of original merchandise is available. Popular keychains and plush toys previously sold overseas are making their Japan debut. Furthermore, four Japan-original Doraemon keychains – cherry blossom, sumo, onigiri, and shiba inu – are introduced for the first time. Unique books like “Tentomushi Comics Doraemon 100% Volume,” featuring original episodes, and the “100% Doraemon & Friends Complete Friends Encyclopedia,” detailing all life-sized Doraemons at the venue, are also available. The merchandise also includes a collection of 100 original trading cards, apparel, and daily goods, all brimming with charm.
