SHINJUKU CAT MARCHE: A Kawaii Celebration for a Cause at Lumine Shinjuku
Celebrate Lumine Shinjuku’s 50th anniversary with the delightful ‘SHINJUKU CAT MARCHE,’ a special event hosted by Fairycake Fair. Running from April 1 to May 7, 2026, this charming market invites visitors to explore a world of unique cat-themed sweets and goods, all while contributing to animal protection activities. It’s a heartwarming fusion of Japanese kawaii culture and social responsibility, where every purchase helps support cats in need.

Discover Unique Cat Goods at the Orneko Pop-Up (Vol. 1)
The first phase of the ‘SHINJUKU CAT MARCHE,’ from April 1 to April 14, 2026, features a special pop-up event by “Orneko,” a cat item brand from the interior goods store “Orné de Feuilles.” Visitors can find an array of charming cat-themed items for their homes.

Orneko, launched in 2019, offers high-quality cat furniture, toys, and care products that blend seamlessly into home interiors, alongside everyday items adorned with adorable cat motifs. Their collection includes everything from glasses and mugs to small accessories, each piece designed to bring the joy of feline companionship into daily life.

Indulge in Exclusive Cat-Themed Sweets (Vol. 2)
From April 22 to May 7, 2026, the second phase of the marche focuses on special cat-themed confectionery. This includes the introduction of 10 unique “Kami-sama no Itazura” Neko Dragee Cans, each spotlighting one of the beloved “Miracle Cats” from Fairycake Fair’s popular cookie tin series.
These compact, adorable tins are filled with dragees—sugar-coated almond chocolates often called “seeds of happiness” in Europe, traditionally given at celebrations and milestones. Each delicate, pastel-hued dragee carries wishes for happiness, making them a perfect small gift for loved ones or a sweet treat for oneself.

Special Collaboration: Ball&Chain x Fairycake Fair Limited Set
During Vol. 2, a limited-edition collaboration set will also be available, featuring a special bag from the popular brand Ball&Chain paired with a spring-exclusive “Kami-sama no Itazura” Berry Neko Cookie Tin. The collaboration bag showcases the unique and endearing Miracle Cats from the cookie tin series, recreated with beautiful, intricate embroidery on light yet durable polyester fabric—perfect for everyday use as a sub-bag or eco-bag.

The accompanying “Kami-sama no Itazura” Berry Neko Cookie Tin features a soft pink, spring-themed design. It contains five varieties of Miracle Cat cookies, baked with aromatic fermented butter, rich cacao, and fragrant Earl Grey tea, complemented by sweet-and-sour raspberry icing flower-shaped cookies. This vibrant tin makes for a truly special gift for any cat lover.
The Philosophy Behind “Miracle Cat Cookie Tin”
The “Miracle Cat Cookie Tin” series, born from a collaboration with musician Miu Sakamoto and illustrator Hisae Maeda, celebrates the unique charm of cats with their diverse patterns and personalities. The series embodies the concept that “Each one is different, and each one is lovable.” This heartwarming philosophy is baked into every cookie, with each piece handcrafted to ensure a distinct expression, much like the individuality of real cats.

As the creators behind the ‘Miracle Cat Cookie Tin’ series beautifully put it, “Each one is different, and each one is lovable.” This sentiment echoes through every corner of the ‘SHINJUKU CAT MARCHE’. The cookies, made with fermented butter, cacao, and Earl Grey, offer a delightful treat, with the surprise of discovering which unique cat design awaits inside each tin.

A Marche with a Purpose: Supporting Animal Welfare
A significant aspect of the ‘SHINJUKU CAT MARCHE’ is its commitment to animal welfare. A portion of the proceeds from all cat-themed products sold during the event, including the “Miracle Cat Cookie Tin” series, will be donated to animal protection organizations. These donations will support activities such as caring for rescued animals and finding them new forever homes, making every purchase a contribution to a kinder world for cats.
