Fan Power Unleashed: CheerSPOT Transforms Late-Night ‘Oshikatsu’ into Real-World Excitement at Round One
Idol group “Mabataki mo Sezu” takes center stage in a groundbreaking fan-engagement experiment, blending digital cheers with physical experiences.
Tokyo, Japan – A pioneering initiative is set to redefine how idol fans interact with their favorite groups, particularly during the quieter late-night hours at entertainment venues. INFORICH, the company behind the ubiquitous mobile battery sharing service CHARGESPOT, has joined forces with Round One Japan to launch a unique Proof of Concept (POC) leveraging the “CheerSPOT” public support advertisement platform. Starting March 1, 2026, this experiment aims to convert digital fan passion for idol group “Mabataki mo Sezu” into tangible real-world visits and revenue for amusement facilities, creating a vibrant new dimension for “Oshikatsu”—the dedicated fan activities supporting one’s beloved idols.

The core challenge for amusement facilities often lies in boosting foot traffic during “idol time”—the typically slow late-night hours. This POC strategically addresses this by designing exclusive rewards specifically for late-night visitors, intending to harness the fervent energy of fans and channel it into actual facility usage and increased food and beverage sales. It’s a clever fusion of digital fandom with physical presence, aiming to create a new compelling reason for fans to visit.
The “8,888 Cheer Project”: Unlocking Exclusive Fan Experiences
From March 1 to April 15, 2026, CheerSPOT users can actively participate in the “8,888 Cheer Project” by sending digital “Cheers” to “Mabataki mo Sezu” via the CheerSPOT app. The cumulative number of Cheers will unlock exciting events and special merchandise, escalating the fan experience.
-
Goal: 8,888 Cheers
-
Special Bowling Tournament: All members of “Mabataki mo Sezu” will participate in an exclusive bowling tournament at Round One. This is a dream come true for many fans, offering a rare chance to engage with their idols in a fun, active setting.

Limited Collaboration Mobile Batteries: Nationwide Round One locations will feature exclusive collaboration-designed mobile batteries, available for rent or purchase, serving as a tangible memento of fan support.
-

Beyond these major milestones, fans who visit participating Round One stores can also earn “CheerSPOT × Mabataki mo Sezu × Round One” original in-store attendance rewards. What makes this truly innovative is the distinction between rewards received during normal operating hours (OPEN-21:59) and unique, late-night exclusive designs for those visiting between 22:00 and closing. Imagine the thrill of earning a special, limited-edition item just by supporting your favorite idol during a late-night outing!

The tiered reward system encourages continued engagement:
| Cheer Rank | Normal Benefit (OPEN~21:59) | Late-Night Benefit (22:00~CLOSE) | Participating Store |

Understanding CheerSPOT: Your Digital Billboard for Idol Support
CheerSPOT is a public support advertisement platform that utilizes the digital signage network of CHARGESPOT, which boasts approximately 59,000 locations nationwide. It empowers individual fans to place “support advertisements” for their idols in public spaces, akin to mini digital billboards. This service is remarkably accessible, with ad placements starting from just 462 JPY (tax included) per location. For this event, every “support ad” placed by a fan for “Mabataki mo Sezu” directly contributes to their “Cheer” count, propelling them towards the project’s goals.
The process to support your idol through CheerSPOT is streamlined into three simple steps:
- Choose Your Idol: Select “Mabataki mo Sezu” from the event page in the app.
- Select Location & Duration: Pick the CHARGESPOT locations on a map and the number of weeks for your ad to run. Each selection contributes to the “Cheer” count.
- Complete Payment: Confirm your choices and finalize the payment to see your support ad displayed and add to your idol’s Cheer total.

Cheer counts are calculated as: (Number of Signages) × (Number of Weeks). For example, placing an ad on 3 signages for 2 weeks will generate 6 Cheers.
