In a strategic move to strengthen its content business, 株式会社AOI Pro. (AOI Pro.), a leading Japanese video production company, announced it will welcome Dwarf Studio (Dwarf) into its group, effective April 1, 2026. Dwarf, renowned for its character development and stop-motion animation, will transition from 株式会社FIELD MANAGEMENT EXPAND (FMX) to AOI Pro. through a company split.
Since its establishment in 2003, Dwarf Studio has captivated audiences worldwide with its distinctive characters and masterful stop-motion animation. The studio has produced a diverse range of high-quality content, from shorts to series and feature films. Notably, Dwarf Studio is behind the character development of NHK’s beloved mascot “Domokun,” and has brought to life popular Netflix series such as “Pokémon Concierge” and “Rilakkuma and Kaoru.” Their original work “Komaneko” has also garnered critical acclaim at film festivals both domestically and internationally. With multiple international awards, including an Emmy nomination, Dwarf Studio has cemented its reputation as a premier Japanese animation studio.
