A Cosmic Symphony Unveiled: “Chinpui: Eri-sama’s Good Luck” Original Soundtrack Lands Globally!

Immerse in the Whimsical World of Fujiko F. Fujio’s Beloved Alien Friend with a Fresh Musical Journey.

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Fujiko F. Fujio’s endearing manga Chinpui, the original soundtrack for the popular short animation “Chinpui: Eri-sama’s Good Luck,” currently enchanting audiences at the Kawasaki City Fujiko F. Fujio Museum, has been released worldwide for streaming and download starting February 7th, 2026. This highly anticipated release brings the charm of the Chinpui universe to a global audience through a vibrant musical collection.

The soundtrack features compositions by Soshi the ‘it’, the acclaimed MC and trackmaker of the internationally active group “Dos Monos.” His unique soundscapes are complemented by a special cover of the ending theme, “Cinderella Nanka ni Naritakunai” (I Don’t Want to Be Cinderella), performed by the anime’s talented voice cast: Misaki Kuno (Chinpui), Megumi Han (Eri Kasuga), and Yoko Hikasa (Mama). A captivating remix of this classic track, also crafted by Soshi the ‘it’ specifically for this release, adds another layer of artistic depth.

Soshi the ‘it’s contributions (Tracks 1-9) are characterized by a playful spirit that expands the already whimsical world of Chinpui. The original “Cinderella Nanka ni Naritakunai” is a well-loved tune from the 1989-1991 TV anime adaptation, and this new cover, arriving approximately 36 years later, breathes fresh life into the iconic song. Fans will also find the remix (Track 11) to be a creative sonic adventure, built upon the newly recorded vocal material.

“The creation of the Chinpui soundtrack was a truly innocent and exciting process, much like adults playing together,” Soshi the ‘it’ shared, reflecting on the collaborative spirit. “Before starting the remix of the super classic theme song, ‘Cinderella Nanka ni Naritakunai,’ the original composer, Takeshi Ike, told me, ‘Play to your heart’s content!’ and that gave me the freedom to truly dive in.” This anecdote beautifully captures the joyful and uninhibited energy poured into the album.

The full album, “Chinpui: Eri-sama’s Good Luck” Original Soundtrack, is now available across various music streaming and download services.
