Organized by LTR Co., Ltd., with the cooperation of Ginbis Co., Ltd. and TWIN PLANET Inc., the cafe will first launch in Osaka on February 12, 2026, followed by Tokyo and Aichi on February 19, 2026. This expansion aims to bring the highly popular “delicious experience” of the original “Tabekko Doubutsu LAND” event to a wider audience, fostering joyful moments for all ages.
The Enduring Charm of Tabekko Doubutsu
For decades, “Tabekko Doubutsu” has held a special place in Japanese households. Launched in 1978, these long-selling biscuits are more than just a snack; they are designed as a “parent-child communication biscuit” that encourages learning while eating. Each “Tabekko Doubutsu Butter Flavor” biscuit features one of 46 different animal shapes, with its English name printed on it. The packaging itself is a mini-lesson, displaying both English and Japanese animal names, making snack time an educational adventure.

Building on this beloved legacy, the “Tabekko Doubutsu LAND” event has captivated over 320,000 visitors through its experiential indoor setups, offering photo spots, food, drinks, and merchandise that fully embrace the brand’s universe. The new cafe brings this popular event’s culinary highlights to a dedicated dining space.
A Feast for the Eyes and Palate: The Menu
The cafe’s menu is a delightful array of visually appealing and delicious items, drawing inspiration directly from the charming animal characters. Highlights include the “Special! Mogumogu Doubutsu-san Burger Plate,” a hearty meal featuring a burger shaped like one of four popular characters: Lion, Monkey, Rabbit, or Chick. Each burger comes with its unique sauce, promising a delightful flavor journey.
For those with a sweet tooth, the towering “Let’s Share! Giraffe-san’s Long Parfait” stands approximately 35 centimeters tall, offering a refreshing taste that can be enjoyed to the last spoonful. The “Rabbit-san’s Melting Happy Crepe” presents a whimsical dessert with a vanilla ice cream rabbit, accompanied by caramel, whipped cream, mixed berries, and honey butter sauces to customize your treat.

Adding a local flair, the cafe will also offer region-specific desserts that celebrate the unique charm of Tokyo, Aichi, and Osaka:
-
Tokyo Exclusive: “Elephant & Chick Fluffy Choco Banana Sandwich”

-
Aichi Exclusive: “Cat & Crocodile Fluffy An-Butter Sandwich”

-
Osaka Exclusive: “Hippo & Monkey Fluffy Fruit Sandwich”

Beyond these delectable dishes, a range of animal-themed drinks, such as the comforting “Doubutsu-san’s Hot Cafe Latte” and vibrant “Doubutsu-san’s Colorful Drinks,” will also be available, each designed to bring a smile to visitors’ faces.
