α+ (Alpha Plus) Debuts: The Next Generation of Idols Steps Beyond SNS Boundaries
VAZ and TWIN PLANET Join Forces to Unleash a New Idol Sensation
In a groundbreaking collaboration, talent agencies VAZ and TWIN PLANET have officially launched their jointly produced 11-member idol group, “α+ (Alpha Plus),” affectionately known as “Alps.” This highly anticipated group, featuring Mahoko Seno, a former center of the popular YouTube channel “Meruputi” (a hub for junior and senior high school girls), is set to make their digital debut with the single “Seishun no Effect” on February 18th.

The journey to α+ began with the announcement of five starting members, including Mahoko Seno, followed by a rigorous audition process in October 2025 that welcomed six more talented individuals. Now, the 11-member ensemble is ready to champion their powerful slogan: “Cheer up the ‘I want to try’ spirit around the world!” In an era where social media often prioritizes curated, “perfect” images, α+ aims to connect with the deeper, unexpressed feelings of their audience, encouraging them to take that crucial first step towards their dreams.
A Dazzling Debut Unveiled on Live Stream
The group’s grand unveiling took place during a live stream on January 24th, hosted by TWIN PLANET’s own IMALU. The event, broadcast simultaneously on YouTube and TikTok, was a vibrant spectacle of youthful energy and excitement.

Starting members Remoni Oki, Yutsuki Suzumiya, Mahoko Seno, Miu Takahashi, and Hinano Nishino introduced themselves, with Seno reflecting on the project’s initial buzz. The anticipation then surged as the six audition qualifiers—Rinko Kino, Kokona Sakurai, Megumi Shiromori, Yuyuno Tsukishima, Himari Hanasaki, and Emiru Yumoto—were introduced, completing the 11-member lineup. The group name, α+, was then revealed with a collective, enthusiastic greeting, setting a high bar for their future endeavors.
Member Remoni Oki eloquently explained the group’s name: “Alpha signifies a ‘beginning’ or ‘incomplete’ in mathematics. We want to give positive courage to those ‘just starting out with incomplete feelings.'” Rinko Kino further elaborated on their mission, stating, “Our slogan is ‘Cheer up the ‘I want to try’ spirit around the world!’, aiming to be a presence that supports the courage to take a step forward.” This clear articulation of their purpose resonated deeply with viewers.
Following a behind-the-scenes video showcasing their journey, the members reappeared in their official debut costumes. The vibrant light blue and pink uniform-style designs, evoking a fresh, school-life aesthetic, drew immediate praise from MC IMALU, who exclaimed, “They’re so cute!” The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the group announced their debut single.
“Seishun no Effect”: An Anthem for Youthful Courage
The highlight of the evening was the announcement of their first digital single, “Seishun no Effect,” set for release on February 18th (Wednesday). A snippet of the song, a classic idol track brimming with youthful vigor, was played, captivating both the audience and the members.

“Seishun no Effect” (Lyrics by Hiroko Yamazaki and Kohei Okada, Composed/Arranged by Kiichi Tsurusaki) is described as a refreshing, exhilarating idol song that encapsulates the thrill of youth.
