Yojiya’s Dedication to Local Revitalization
Yojiya, a company deeply rooted in Kyoto, has been actively engaged in regional contributions since its fifth representative director, Ko Kunihiro, took office in 2019. A significant part of this commitment involves sponsoring local sports teams that captivate the hearts of Kyoto residents. This initiative, which began in 2023, aims to energize the city and fulfill Yojiya’s vision of “making Kyoto a place where everyone rejoices.”
Their partnership with the Kyoto Hannaryz basketball team has steadily grown, evolving from a partner company in the 2023-24 season to a Major Partner for the 2025-26 season. This elevated status has led to various joint efforts, including logo placement on uniforms, exclusive fan club benefits, and engaging social media campaigns. These collaborations have not only strengthened community ties but also introduced Yojiya’s brand to a broader audience.
Meet the “Kawaii” Collaborators: Han-nyarin and Yojiko
This year’s collaboration introduces a charming new duo: Han-nyarin and Yojiko. Han-nyarin, with its playful spirit, represents the energetic Kyoto Hannaryz. Yojiko, Yojiya’s new corporate character born in 2025, embodies the brand’s elegant and traditional yet modern essence. Their first joint design brings a fresh and adorable touch to the limited-edition merchandise.
The Limited-Edition Collection Details
The collaboration features three delightful items, each blending the unique aesthetics of both brands:
Oil Blotting Paper “Yojiko & Han-nyarin Peeking Out” Version
This special edition Aburatorigami, Yojiya’s signature oil blotting paper, showcases the first-ever collaboration design. The packaging features Han-nyarin on the front and Yojiko on the back, both playfully peeking out. The vibrant Hana-asagi blue, the team color of Hannaryz, forms the base, adding a unique local touch. Priced at 800 yen (tax included), each set contains two booklets with 20 sheets each.

Yuzu-Tsuyaya Nyando Cream
This collaboration hand cream combines Yojiko and Han-nyarin’s charm. Legend has it that Han-nyarin’s playful mischief led to the name “Nyando Cream” (a playful twist on “hand cream”). Infused with natural moisturizing ingredient sericin and a refreshing, slightly bitter yuzu fragrance, it offers a delightful sensory experience. It is available for 850 yen (tax included) for a 30g tube.
