The centerpiece of LUCUA SOUTH is the “LUCUA Characters World,” spanning floors 10F to 13F. This colossal zone is envisioned to become Japan’s premier destination for character enthusiasts, eventually hosting over 40 stores featuring popular and well-known content from both Japan and abroad.
The first phase, opening April 5, 2026, will see the continuation of beloved stores previously popular at Daimaru Umeda, including the Pokémon Center Osaka, Nintendo Osaka, and ONE PIECE Mugiwara Store.
The excitement will further build in Autumn 2026 with the second phase, introducing 29 new character shops. Among these eagerly awaited additions are:

NARUMIYA HAPPY PARK: Making its Kansai debut, this flagship store for Narumiya characters promises a “happiness charge spot” filled with merchandise and memorable experiences.

Nishimura Yuji Kōbaibu Main Store Umeda: A flagship store for Studio UG characters like “Gokigen Panda” and “Konezumi,” designed to evoke a nostalgic school tuck shop, complete with exclusive merchandise.

Culinary Delights at LUCUA SOUTH DINING
Beyond the captivating character zones, LUCUA SOUTH will also feature the “LUCUA SOUTH DINING” area, located on floors 14F to 16F. This extensive restaurant zone is designed to cater to a wide range of tastes and occasions.
Initially, 28 popular restaurants from Daimaru Umeda and “Ichiroku Gourmet” will continue operations from April 5, 2026. By 2027, the 14F and 15F will introduce new family-focused dining options, expanding the total to over 35 restaurants.
Notably, the 16F, previously operated as “Osaka Ekiue Dining Ichiroku Gourmet,” will be integrated into LUCUA SOUTH, ensuring a seamless and expanded dining experience. This integration highlights a collaborative effort between JR West SC Development Co., Ltd. and JR West Station City Co., Ltd. to enhance the vibrancy and appeal of Osaka Station City.
