KAWAII LAB. Lights Up K-Arena Yokohama for 4th Anniversary, CUTIE STREET Soars to Nippon Budokan
The idol project KAWAII LAB. by ASOBISYSTEM recently wrapped up its magnificent 4th-anniversary event, “KAWAII LAB. 4th Anniversary Special LIVE,” spanning five electrifying days from February 11th to 15th, 2026, at the K-Arena Yokohama. This monumental celebration culminated in a thrilling surprise: CUTIE STREET announced their first-ever two-day solo concerts at the legendary Nippon Budokan, a dream venue for many Japanese artists.
Established on February 14th, 2022, KAWAII LAB. marked its fourth year with the release of the “KAWAII LAB. BEST ALBUM” on February 11th. The anniversary live event brought together a dazzling lineup of 53 members from FRUITS ZIPPER, CANDY TUNE, SWEET STEADY, CUTIE STREET, MORE STAR, and the next-generation members KAWAII LAB. MATES and KAWAII LAB. SOUTH, creating a vibrant spectacle for fans.

A Week of “Kawaii” Celebrations and Awards
The “KAWAII LAB. 4th Anniversary Special LIVE ~KAWAII LAB. SESSION~” on February 11th and 14th adopted an awards show concept, dubbed “KAWAII LAB. BEST AWARDS 2026.” This unique segment celebrated the achievements of KAWAII LAB. idols across various categories, including “BEST TOP SPEED GROUP” and “BEST KAWAII SONG.” The performances kicked off with “CHU CHU CHU Kenkyuuchuu!” by TEAM KAWAII LAB., and concluded with the debut of the collaborative song “Kawalabo to Babyun!,” captivating the audience. Additionally, the February 14th show announced a special 4th-anniversary book in collaboration with “LARME” magazine.

Solo Showcases Shine Bright
February 12th saw FRUITS ZIPPER take the stage for their solo performance, a heartfelt event designed around the members’ and fans’ shared affections. The group delighted the crowd with a diverse array of costumes, including those worn at the Kohaku Uta Gassen (Japan’s prestigious New Year’s Eve music program) and past birthday outfits. Highlights included a COSEI medley from their recent Tokyo Dome concert and performances of the top three fan-voted songs from the “KAWAII LAB. BEST ALBUM,” alongside a song chosen by each member, deepening their bond with the fans.

CANDY TUNE’s solo concert on February 13th was a medley of popular KAWAII LAB. group songs, with CANDY TUNE covering hits like “Watashi no Ichiban Kawaii Tokoro” and “Kawaii Dake Ja Dame Desu ka?” The energy in the venue soared as fans cheered along. The encore brought a joyous surprise with the debut of their new song, “HAPPY BOUNCE BIRTHDAY.” Further exciting announcements followed: this song would be the title track of their 3rd single CD, set for release on April 22nd, and it would also serve as the ending theme for the 4th season of the anime “Mairimashita! Iruma-kun” (NHK E Tele) starting in April. The news was met with immense jubilation from their dedicated fanbase.

CUTIE STREET’s Climactic Performance and Budokan Dream
The grand finale of the KAWAII LAB. 4th Anniversary event was CUTIE STREET’s solo concert on February 15th. The atmosphere instantly ignited with the debut of “Yumemiru Cinderella!,” a mashup of their recently released digital single “Yumemiru Primadonna” and the popular track “Hitamuki Cinderella!.” A heartwarming moment unfolded towards the end of the concert as the members and fans collectively watched the music video for “Yumemiru Primadonna,” which had generated significant buzz with its teaser online. Dressed in elegant gowns, the members captivated everyone, but the biggest revelation was yet to come. A surprise announcement sent waves of excitement through the K-Arena Yokohama: CUTIE STREET would hold their first-ever solo concerts at Nippon Budokan for two days, on August 25th and 26th. The venue erupted in cheers.
Kana Itakura, a member of CUTIE STREET, expressed her joy, stating, “This means we’ll be celebrating our second year at Budokan with everyone. Oh, I’m so happy! Please definitely come!” Her words encapsulated the shared dream and excitement of the group and their fans.
