The Journey of Toi Toi Toi: From “Dark Idol” to “Be Alright”
Toi Toi Toi’s roots trace back to the “Dark Idol” audition program, a groundbreaking collaboration between the future-forward television platform ABEMA and ASOBISYSTEM, all initiated by the visionary Asakura Mikuru. Their core philosophy, “Be Alright” (a nod to the German good luck charm “Toi Toi Toi” itself, meaning “It’ll be alright!”), is a powerful message aimed at empowering individuals who have faced their own share of challenges and setbacks. The group debuted on April 4, 2025, and joined ASOBISYSTEM’s idol project “PEAK SPOT” on April 30, 2025. This January, the group welcomed Hagita Kokoro and Yamada Seia, expanding to an eight-member lineup (currently active as seven, with Hoshino Tina on hiatus), and igniting a renewed sense of purpose.
