From January 31st to February 14th, 2026, the online cake and sweets specialist Cake.jp will host a special pop-up store at the Keikyu Department Store in Yokohama. Located on the 7th floor event space, “Mercy Chocolat,” this limited-time event, titled “Masterpiece Picture Book Cookie Can Selection by Cake.jp,” promises a delightful fusion of literary charm and sweet indulgence.
This highly anticipated pop-up has already captivated audiences at over 50 venues nationwide, including Gransta Tokyo at JR East Tokyo Station, drawing enthusiastic crowds wherever it appears. The event showcases a vibrant collection of 17 unique cookie cans, each a charming collaboration with beloved and trending Japanese picture books. Imagine the joy of holding a tin adorned with characters from Gaspard and Lisa, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Nontan, Who’s Afraid of the Dark?, Pan Dorobou, and Ring of Maybe.
The magic extends beyond the adorable illustrations. These special collaboration cookie cans are crafted with care, featuring cookies that are free from wheat, eggs, and dairy, making them a thoughtful treat for many. Once the delicious cookies have been enjoyed, the beautifully designed tins can be repurposed as charming小物入れ (komonoire), or small item holders, serving as a lasting keepsake. It’s a gift that keeps on giving, perfect for souvenirs or special celebrations.
The “Masterpiece Picture Book Cookie Can Selection by Cake.jp” will be open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily at the Keikyu Department Store (1-6-1 Kamiooka Nishi, Konan-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa 233-8556). Please note that on the final day, February 14th, the store will close at 6:00 PM.
