Dive into the ‘Zokuse’ World: Kei Mochizuki’s Captivating Exhibition Arrives in Osaka with Fresh Art and Exclusive Treasures
Experience the acclaimed illustrator’s unique vision and a curated collection of over 100 works, including new pieces and limited-edition merchandise at Shinsaibashi PARCO.
Popular illustrator Kei Mochizuki’s highly anticipated solo exhibition, “Zokuse” (俗世), is set to enthrall audiences at Shinsaibashi PARCO’s 14F PARCO GALLERY in Osaka. The exhibition will run from March 6th (Friday) to March 29th (Sunday), 2026, showcasing a rich tapestry of her distinctive artistic prowess.
Following its immensely successful premiere in Tokyo in 2019, which drew over 10,000 visitors, the “Zokuse” exhibition returns for its second iteration, promising an even more immersive experience. The title “Zokuse,” meaning “the mundane world” or “secular world,” reflects a profound aspiration: to foster deeper connections between creators and fans amidst today’s information-saturated society, and to cultivate a multifaceted appreciation for creative endeavors.
The exhibition’s spatial design, curated by art director Tomoyuki Arima of Japan Design Center, is meticulously structured around three evocative themes: “Boredom,” “Noise,” and “Blindness.” These themes collectively challenge visitors to confront how the sheer volume of data and information can obscure the intrinsic charm and original intent of artworks. The aim is to create an experience that encourages visitors to engage their own discerning eyes and rediscover the inherent value of each piece.
On display will be approximately 100 works, including dozens of new illustrations specifically drawn for the Tokyo exhibition, alongside original creations and iconic pieces from Mochizuki’s extensive portfolio. Highlights include captivating illustrations for popular titles such as Fate/Grand Order’s “Barghest (Fairy Knight Tristan),” Touken Ranbu’s “Kyogoku Masamune,” and character designs for the creator collective “Daiyon Kyoukai” (第四境界). This diverse collection offers a rare opportunity to witness the illustrator’s overwhelming artistic skill up close.
To commemorate the Osaka leg of the exhibition, a striking new key visual by Kei Mochizuki herself has been unveiled. Visitors will also have the chance to acquire a range of new merchandise exclusive to the Osaka venue. Furthermore, some of the most sought-after items that sold out rapidly during the Tokyo exhibition will be restocked, offering fans another opportunity to complete their collections.

Among the diverse array of commemorative goods available, fans can look forward to:
-
Original replica drawings
-
Acrylic stands and acrylic blocks
-
Can badges and stickers
-
Metal charms
-
Apparel including pullover hoodies and T-shirts
-

Kei Mochizuki’s artistic style is often described as possessing a “monster-like power” – an aggressive yet widely expressive range. Her unwavering strokes and vibrant colors are renowned for their ability to pierce straight to the viewer’s emotions. Since launching her freelance career in 2015, Mochizuki has carved out a unique presence across various fields, including games, music, and book cover illustrations. She continually updates her world of expression with destructive creativity, leaving an indelible mark on contemporary art. Her representative works include character designs for ‘Fate/Grand Order’ (Barghest/Fairy Knight Tristan), ‘Touken Ranbu’ (Kyogoku Masamune), and ‘Racing Miku 2025Ver.’.

Fans who experienced the Tokyo exhibition raved about the immersive atmosphere, with one commenting, “Mochizuki-sensei’s art truly comes alive in this space, making you see beyond the surface!” Osaka visitors are surely in for another treat, as they delve into the intricate worlds crafted by this visionary artist.
