To kick off the anniversary year, a special 15th Anniversary PV for Cardfight!! Vanguard has been released, brought to life by the renowned animation studio MAPPA. The thrilling theme song, “XV,” is performed by the popular band Roselia, adding a powerful auditory dimension to the celebration. Fans can also look forward to new commemorative illustrations featuring iconic characters like Aichi, Chrono, Shinemon, Yu-yu, Akina, Kai, and Ren. These illustrations are planned for future merchandise, with more details to be announced.
New Decks and Booster Packs to Enhance Your Game
The “Bucchigiri Start Deck: Sanctuary Guard Dragon / Imperial Dragon Overlord” is set to launch on February 26 (Thursday). These decks feature new artwork of Blaster Blade and Dragonic Overlord, drawn by Cardfight!! Vanguard original creator Akira Ito. They are designed to be perfect for both returning players and those looking to strengthen their current decks.
Following this, the booster pack “Genma Seisen” (Phantom True War) will be released on February 13 (Friday). This pack includes cards with illustrations by CLAMP, the original character designer for the TV anime “Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez.” Fans are eagerly anticipating the stunning artwork of Kanami Ishikawa and “Eternal Grand Sorcerer Belcrea” by CLAMP.
Exciting Collaborations Expand the Vanguard Universe
The 15th anniversary celebrations extend to major collaborations. A “Title Booster Premium: BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!” is scheduled for release on March 27 (Friday). This luxurious booster pack celebrates the 9th anniversary of the “BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!” app. It will feature new trigger and perfect guard designs, “Silver Rare” cards with “Special Training” illustrations, and unique “Garupa Rare” cards with foil-stamped member signatures in each band’s image color.
Furthermore, the booster pack “Kakuzuki no Shisha” (Emissary of the Red Moon), launching on April 10 (Friday), will include the ‘Demon Lord Dragon Gaberiel “Phantom”‘ used by Gaberiel (Phantom) in the TV anime “Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Genma Seisen Arc.” This pack also marks a thrilling collaboration with the “Like a Dragon” (Ryu Ga Gotoku) series, bringing characters like protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and others from “Like a Dragon Kiwami,” “Like a Dragon Kiwami 2,” and “Like a Dragon Kiwami 3 / Like a Dragon Gaiden: Dark Ties” into the Vanguard card game. A collaboration TV CM is currently in production, promising more excitement.
