Tokyo’s “Utsuwa to Kurashi Ichi” Unveils Grand Expansion at Showa Kinen Park
Over 200 Booths Showcase Traditional Ceramics, Lifestyle Goods, and a Brand-New “Flower & Green Zone”
Tokyo is set to host the highly anticipated “Utsuwa to Kurashi Ichi in Tokyo vol.2” on February 14th and 15th, 2026, at the picturesque Showa Kinen Park. This second installment in Tokyo promises an even grander experience, expanding to over 200 booths and introducing exciting new sections dedicated to enhancing daily life.

At its heart, the “Utsuwa to Kurashi Ichi” project aims to celebrate the rich heritage of Japanese ceramics, known as yakimono, particularly from the Tokai region. This area, encompassing Aichi, Gifu, and Mie prefectures, is a treasure trove of pottery, home to two of Japan’s revered “Six Ancient Kilns”—Seto and Tokoname—and blessed with high-quality clay. The event seeks to bridge the gap between these traditional crafts and contemporary lifestyles, encouraging more people to incorporate the beauty of handmade pottery into their everyday routines.
This year’s Tokyo event, moving to the spacious Showa Kinen Park in Tachikawa City, marks a significant evolution in both content and scale. A notable addition is the “Flower & Green Zone,” a vibrant space dedicated to flowers, plants, and their accompanying vessels, inviting visitors to add a touch of natural beauty to their homes. With an unprecedented number of exhibitors, attendees are sure to discover a piece that resonates with their personal style and enriches their living spaces.
A Diverse Tapestry of Lifestyle and Craft
The “Utsuwa to Kurashi Ichi” is more than just a market; it’s a sensory journey through Japanese craftsmanship and lifestyle. From the rustic charm of a simple plate to the artistic flair of a unique artisan piece, the event curates a collection designed to bring joy and beauty to every table.
Ceramics Zone
With 110 booths, the “Ceramics Zone” is a haven for pottery enthusiasts. Here, visitors can explore a vast selection from kilns, shops, and individual artists, each offering a distinct aesthetic and story. It’s a prime opportunity to find that special dish that transforms a meal into an experience.

Flower & Green Zone (New!)
This newly introduced zone gathers items related to flowers and greenery, including plants, flower arrangements, and unique vases. It offers a chance to discover how natural elements can beautifully complement ceramic pieces and bring life into any space.

Lifestyle Zone
Beyond ceramics, the “Lifestyle Zone” features a curated selection of general merchandise, apparel, baked goods, and workshops. It’s a space to discover tools and items that make daily living more enjoyable and vibrant. Visitors might even find a new hobby or a unique gift.

Food Truck Zone
For those seeking a culinary delight, the “Food Truck Zone” offers a tempting array of gourmet meals and refreshing drinks. It’s the perfect spot to refuel and savor unique flavors amidst the bustling market atmosphere.
