Unleashing Joy Through Style: Inclusive Fashion Event Unites 1,600 in Japan
“Play fashion! for ALL” and Hokusuikai Group Collaborate to Celebrate Fashion for Everyone

On December 12-14, 2025, an inspiring inclusive fashion event titled “A Day to Think About and Enjoy Fashion Together” drew over 1,600 attendees in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture. This collaborative effort between WeOur Inc.’s “Play fashion! for ALL” project and the Hokusuikai Group, a medical and welfare service provider, aimed to create a space where fashion could be enjoyed by all, regardless of age, disability, or illness. Marking its third successful year, the event expanded to two venues, offering diverse, hands-on experiences.
Event Highlights: Fashion and Fun for All Ages
The event presented a rich array of activities designed to make fashion accessible and enjoyable.
1. Adastria Bazaar
The “Adastria Bazaar” provided a unique shopping experience for individuals who might find it challenging to visit regular stores. Stock items and samples from Adastria brands were available at reasonable prices, fostering an atmosphere where attendees, accompanied by caregivers, family, or friends, could joyfully select clothing. Staff from Adastria offered personalized customer service, mirroring a typical retail environment.

2. “Want to Wear, Easy to Wear, Want to Keep Wearing” Experience Exhibition
The “Play fashion! for ALL” project showcased adaptive fashion that addresses common challenges in dressing. Staff provided styling advice, and active care workers even took on the challenge of coordinating outfits using Adastria brand products. Many participants expressed delight with their new styles, with one user exclaiming, “I didn’t know there were clothes we could wear too!”

3. Welfare Nails, Lucky Color Readings, and Portraits
Beyond fashion, the event offered beauty and entertainment experiences. “Welfare Nails,” easily removable with hot water, were provided with the cooperation of the Fukubi-kai, an organization promoting welfare beauty. Astrologer MageC offered lucky color readings and happy aroma mist making. For the first time, portrait artist “Handa Nanda” from Gunma demonstrated super-fast five-minute portraits, bringing smiles to many faces.

4. “Scrunchie-Style Cheering Goods” Born from Caregiving Insights
A special workshop on December 14 featured the creation of “Scrunchie-Style Cheering Goods,” conceived by the Hokusuikai Group. These items, designed to be easily worn by individuals with paralysis or contractures, include bells that ring with minimal movement. This initiative, a collaboration between Hokusuikai Group, the professional basketball team Ibaraki Robots, and WeOur, also incorporated fabric remnants from WeOur’s product planning, contributing to fashion loss reduction. A public viewing of an Ibaraki Robots game and a banner-writing booth were also part of this engaging day.

Towards a More Inclusive Future
This event exemplifies a growing movement in Japan to integrate fashion and welfare, fostering a society where everyone can express themselves through clothing. The “Play fashion! for ALL” project, driven by WeOur Inc., a special subsidiary of and ST HD Group, continues to champion this cause by developing inclusive clothing, designing uniforms for care facilities, and organizing cross-industry events. The collaboration with the Hokusuikai Group highlights the power of partnerships in creating meaningful social impact. Such initiatives undoubtedly pave the way for a future where fashion truly serves as a universal language of joy and self-expression.
