TOOBOE’s “GUN POWDER” Set to Explode as “Yusha no Kuzu” OP Theme, CD Arrives January 28!
A New Anime Anthem and Nationwide Tour Mark a Dynamic Start to 2026 for the Genre-Bending Artist
The highly anticipated TV anime “Yusha no Kuzu” (勇者のクズ), which translates to “Hero’s Scum,” is set to kick off its broadcast on January 10, 2026, across the Nippon TV network. Adding a powerful punch to its debut, the series will feature TOOBOE’s brand-new track, “GUN POWDER,” as its first-cour opening theme. Fans can mark their calendars for the CD release of “GUN POWDER” on January 28, 2026, promising an explosive start to the new year.

“Yusha no Kuzu” plunges viewers into the gritty Tokyo underworld, a city dominated by a mafia boss transformed into a “Demon Lord” through ether enhancement surgery. The story follows Yashiro, a freelance hero known as “Shinigami” (God of Death), as he navigates a labyrinth of incidents alongside his self-proclaimed disciple, a high school girl named Shirogamine. The fusion of TOOBOE’s distinctive sound with this dark, action-packed narrative is sure to create an unforgettable viewing and listening experience.
The single’s release is made even more special with its unique jacket art, a fresh illustration meticulously drawn by Nakashima 723, the original manga artist behind “Yusha no Kuzu.” This collaboration promises to visually connect the music directly to the anime’s captivating world.

Expanding Horizons: New Music and Live Performances
Beyond “GUN POWDER,” TOOBOE is also set to release another significant work, “EVER GREEN,” on February 11, 2026. This album will be available in a fully limited production edition, including a special box, TOOBOE’s original jacket art, and an exclusive “Dameda Himawari” (Useless Sunflower) plush toy designed by TOOBOE themselves. A standard CD-only version will also be available.

To bring these new sounds directly to fans, TOOBOE will embark on the “TOOBOE ONE MAN TOUR 2026 ~Hikigane wa Shisen~” (銃爪は視線, roughly “The Trigger is a Gaze”) starting April 2026.
