NiziU member MAYA has launched her first-ever original picture book, “まっしろなちょうちょ” (Mashiro na Chocho), which translates to “A Pure White Butterfly.” Released on December 24, 2025, by KADOKAWA, this marks a significant new chapter for the artist, celebrated alongside a collection of original merchandise.

Since her debut in 2020 through the “Nizi Project” audition, MAYA has been a prominent figure in the global girl group NiziU. Her debut as an author introduces readers to Navi, a pure white butterfly embarking on a quest to discover its “true color.” This heartwarming tale of growth is imbued with a message close to MAYA’s heart.

MAYA, born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 2002, is a member of the nine-member girl group NiziU, where her main color is purple. NiziU, formed through the “Nizi Project,” has achieved numerous milestones since their 2020 debut, including dome concerts in Tokyo and Osaka in 2022, and their first stadium concert at ZOZO Marine Stadium in 2023. Their Korean debut in October 2023 further solidified their global presence.
