This major renewal introduces several key changes designed to provide more comprehensive support and exposure for participants:

Extended and Multi-Stage Judging Period: The selection process has been expanded from the traditional Best 16 to start with Best 20, progressing through Best 10, and then to finalists. This longer, more gradual approach allows for greater public engagement and a deeper understanding of each contestant.

New Assessment Methods for Personality: Beyond traditional gravure, new judging criteria will include documentary videos and written self-introductions, enabling participants to showcase their unique personalities and inner qualities more effectively. Additional special projects are also planned during the judging period.

Enhanced Awards and Prizes: A new Semi-Grand Prix (Miss Young Magazine / Miss Weekly Shonen Magazine) has been established. All award winners are now guaranteed the production of a photo book, ensuring tangible career advancement.

Increased Prize Money: The Grand Prix winner will receive 1 million yen, while the newly created Semi-Grand Prix winners will each receive 500,000 yen.

Strengthened Talent Development: Following the announcement of winners, the secretariat will provide continuous support for their activities, including guidance on SNS utilization and various other skill development programs, ensuring sustained career growth.

Grand Prix Winners to Receive Three Major Benefits:

Entry Details and Schedule
Applications for Miss Magazine 2027 are open to unmarried women born between April 1, 2002, and March 1, 2010. While nationality is not an issue, judging will be conducted in Japanese. Previous entertainment experience is not required, and those currently affiliated with agencies or groups are welcome to apply, provided they have consent and can manage parallel activities.
Applicants must be available for gravure shooting in swimsuits, with photos and videos eligible for publication in magazines, online platforms, and apps. Participation in the Miss Magazine 2027 judging process and subsequent activities (such as gravure shoots for ‘Young Magazine,’ ‘Weekly Shonen Magazine,’ and ‘Yanmaga Web,’ live streaming, online broadcasts, radio appearances, and acting roles) is also required.
