Rabbit Yukine: Hokkaido’s Cheerful Advocate
Rabbit Yukine, often seen alongside Snow Miku (Hatsune Miku), was born from a public competition and quickly became a symbol of support for Hokkaido. Modeled after the Ezo Yukiusagi (Hokkaido’s native snow rabbit), Yukine has expanded its reach beyond just being Snow Miku’s pet, actively participating in various initiatives to promote Hokkaido. The character’s birthday, November 11, is even celebrated as “Yukine Memorial Day.”
For this new ambassadorial role, a special illustration of Yukine has been created, featuring the character sporting a scarf in the same colors as the Sapporo Moiwayama Ski Resort’s logo. This fresh look hints at exciting collaborations to come.

Details of specific ambassador activities will be announced later via Yukine’s official social media channels, so fans are encouraged to stay tuned for updates. The 2025-2026 ski season at Sapporo Moiwayama Ski Resort is scheduled to run from December 20, 2025, to March 15, 2026, with daily operating hours from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Please note that night operations will not be available on December 31 and January 1, and dates may change depending on snow conditions.
