Koshu Inden is a revered traditional craft from Japan, with roots stretching back to the Sengoku period, said to be favored by warlords like Takeda Shingen. This intricate technique involves dyeing deer leather and then applying patterns using lacquer and stencils. The result is a unique texture and visual depth, where the patterns stand out with a subtle, tactile elegance. Each piece in the Doraemon collection is a testament to the skill of “Inden no Yamamoto,” a long-established workshop dedicated to preserving this heritage.
The All-New Mini-Wallet: Compact and Charming
The latest addition to the series is a highly functional mini-wallet, designed for everyday convenience without compromising on style. Its compact size fits neatly into the palm of a hand, yet it boasts impressive storage capacity with six card pockets, three open pockets (inside and out), and a two-compartment billfold. The much-requested card case makes a comeback, showcasing the supple texture of deer leather and the rich expression of Inden craftsmanship. Its simple yet effective two-tier storage system allows for neat organization of cards, with the top flap’s underside ideal for credit or transit IC cards.
