A Festival of Creativity and Connection
Since its inception in 2017, Bungu Joshi Haku (literally, “Stationery Girls’ Expo”) has grown into a phenomenon, drawing over 700,000 visitors who come to “see, touch, and buy” a vast array of stationery. It’s more than just a marketplace; it’s a cultural gathering where the love for paper, pens, and creative tools truly shines. The event fosters a unique atmosphere, allowing attendees to connect with both beloved brands and innovative new designers.

“Stationery Coordinate”: Express Yourself with Every Item
The theme for the upcoming events, including Osaka 2026, is “Today, Which One? Stationery Coordinate.” This concept invites visitors to view their stationery not just as tools, but as an extension of their personal style—much like choosing an outfit for the day. Imagine mixing and matching pens, notebooks, and decorative tapes to reflect your mood or express your individuality. The venue will feature over 50,000 stationery items, offering endless possibilities for creative self-expression.
“The idea of ‘Stationery Coordinate’ is genius! It completely transforms how we think about our daily essentials, turning every choice into a fun, personal statement,” remarked a long-time stationery enthusiast.
Dive into “Life Log” Essentials
Beyond just writing, the festival will highlight the growing trend of “life logging” – the practice of recording daily moods and events. Expect a rich assortment of items designed to enhance this hobby, including various stickers, stamps, and templates. These tools are perfect for adding flair and personality to journals, planners, and scrapbooks, helping you capture and cherish everyday moments. With the new year approaching, it’s an ideal opportunity to discover new items to kickstart or enrich your life log.
