“Hugs Vol.6” Returns with Star-Studded Lineup

After a four-year hiatus, the “Hugs” series is making a grand comeback with “Hugs Vol.6,” spanning two venues in Hyogo and Tokyo. The event promises dynamic collaborations, bringing together a diverse array of musical talent.

The Kobe performance on Sunday, July 5th, at GLION ARENA KOBE, will feature Eve and the Taiwanese alternative pop band Iruka Police. Following this, the Tokyo show on Friday, July 17th, at Tokyo Garden Theater, will host amazarashi and the South Korean indie rock band Silica Gel. Notably, Iruka Police and Silica Gel previously connected with Kitani Tatsuya during his “Tatsuya Kitani Asia Tour 2025,” fostering the international camaraderie that led to these exciting joint performances.

Adding to the excitement, Autumn 2026 will see the simultaneous release of Tatsuya Kitani’s new albums, “DEKAI” and “PURE.” These will be his first original albums since 2024’s “ROUNDABOUT,” marking a significant return to long-form studio work. While specific concepts and tracklists are yet to be revealed, fans are eagerly anticipating what sonic landscapes these two distinct titles will explore. Kitani Tatsuya’s journey began around 2014 with online music posts, concurrently building a career as a songwriter for artists like WEST., Hoshimachi Suisei, SUPER EIGHT, and LiSA. His breakout hit “Ao no Sumika,” the opening theme for the TV anime “Jujutsu Kaisen”‘s “Kaigyoku/Gyokusetu” arc, led to an appearance on the prestigious 74th Kohaku Uta Gassen. His diverse activities also include serving as a radio personality for “Tatsuya Kitani’s All Night Nippon 0 (ZERO)” and collaborating with Kento Nakajima in the unit “GEMN.”
