A Sweet Encounter: “Milk Manju Tsukigesho” Meets Hirakata Park’s Gnomes
Osaka’s renowned confectionery, “Milk Manju Tsukigesho,” is set to launch an enchanting collaboration with Hirakata Park, a beloved amusement park in Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture. Starting December 13, 2025, a special limited-edition package of the popular milk manju will feature the friendly and cheerful “Gnome friends” who reside at Hirakata Park.

This unique collaboration offers park-goers a charming way to take home a piece of their fun-filled day. “Tsukigesho” (月化粧), which translates to “Moon Makeup,” is famous for its delicate balance of Japanese and Western confectionery. These moist, milky manju are crafted from a blend of two types of Hokkaido-grown white kidney beans, enriched with creamy condensed milk and generous amounts of Hokkaido butter, then baked to a soft perfection. Its smooth, gentle flavor has made it a sensation, with one piece reportedly selling every 1.5 seconds.

The packaging, adorned with the whimsical “Gnome friends” illustrations, captures the joyful spirit of Hirakata Park. It transforms a traditional Japanese omiyage (souvenir) into a keepsake that evokes cherished memories of the amusement park. Imagine savoring the melt-in-your-mouth sweetness of Tsukigesho, each bite a delicious echo of laughter and excitement from a day at “Hirapar” – a true treat for both children and adults.
