Sonoki Kunitaka Reimagines His Sound, Re-emerges as Khore with Electrifying Debut Mini Album ‘Profile’
A new chapter unfolds as the artist unveils a fresh identity and announces a dynamic one-man show in Shimokitazawa, blending band power with modern DTM.
Japanese artist Sonoki Kunitaka has officially rebranded as Khore, marking a pivotal moment in his musical journey. This significant transition is accompanied by the release of his 1st Mini Album, ‘Profile,’ and a celebratory one-man live event, ‘WAVES vol.2,’ scheduled for December 21, 2025, in Tokyo’s iconic music hub, Shimokitazawa. This evolution promises a deeper exploration into his unique sound.
The name ‘Khore’ itself carries a dual meaning, signifying both a solo entity and a full band, while also encompassing Sonoki Kunitaka himself and the entire sonic landscape he creates. This concept highlights an artist who is deeply intertwined with his music, blurring the lines between individual and collective expression. It reflects a growing trend in Japanese music where artists blend personal identity with expansive artistic vision.

His affiliation with Alphard Co., Ltd. began in July 2025, leading to his artist name change to Khore in December of the same year. Khore’s creative process is remarkably self-sufficient, encompassing everything from lyric writing and composition to arrangement, design, video direction, and even costume conceptualization. He currently balances his activities between the bustling music scene of Tokyo and his roots in Kyushu.

This comprehensive approach allows Khore to maintain a singular vision across all facets of his work, a testament to the dedication often seen in emerging Japanese artists striving for global recognition.
