KAWAII LAB. Shines Brighter with the Arrival of “MORE STAR”

ASOBISYSTEM’s KAWAII LAB., a project dedicated to sharing Japan’s vibrant idol culture with the world, has officially launched its latest sensation: a nine-member idol group named “MORE STAR.” Their highly anticipated debut digital single, “Motto, Kiratto,” was released on December 8th, and a teaser for its music video is now available.

The group comprises Newi Kokona, Endo Marin, Sasahara Nanaka, Suzuki Karin, Takanashi Yuna, Nakayama Kohaku, Hagita Sora, Morita Ami, and Yamamoto Rushia. All members are graduates of KAWAII LAB. MATES, having grown up admiring the “KAWAII” created by their senior groups. Ranging from 16 to 20 years old, with an average age of 17.8, the group’s name, MORE STAR, embodies their aspiration to “grow more (MORE)” and become a “shining, admired (STAR)” presence. Their concept, “WITH KAWAII,” focuses on discovering and creating unique “KAWAII” alongside their fans.

“Motto, Kiratto”: A Message of Growth and Radiance

“Motto, Kiratto,” MORE STAR’s debut track, was initially a challenge song performed during their pre-formation training camp for member selection. The title directly links to their group name, symbolizing their journey to “grow more and become a shining, admired star.” The song’s theme encourages embracing one’s imperfections while striving to “shine brighter,” reflecting the members’ own path of progress and determination.

The music video teaser was unveiled on December 8th at 6:30 PM JST, offering a glimpse into each member’s expressions. The full music video is scheduled for release on December 12th. “Motto, Kiratto” will also be featured on the upcoming “KAWAII LAB. BEST ALBUM,” set to be released on February 11th, and the group plans to participate in release events in January.
