A Journey Through Idol Fashion
The exhibition features actual costumes worn by the 29 members, each display thoughtfully curated to match the theme of its respective venue. Visitors can discover a treasure trove of behind-the-scenes magic, including handwritten messages from the idols themselves, personal photos and videos capturing their performance moments, original design sketches, and insightful commentary from KAWAII LAB. producer Misa Kimura. This comprehensive presentation reveals the intricate thought and artistry woven into each garment, offering a deeper understanding of the KAWAII LAB. universe.
During a special preview, producer Misa Kimura joined CANDY TUNE members Mizuki Kirihara, Natsu Minami, and Nanako Ogawa to explore the exhibition. They delighted in seeing costumes from other groups, candid off-shot photos taken with film cameras, and a selection of “cute things captured in 2025” from the members’ own camera rolls—a heartwarming glimpse into their daily lives.

Producer Misa Kimura shared her impressions, stating, “I see the members moving in their costumes all the time, but seeing the costumes spread out like this was truly impactful. Also, I was reminded of how wonderfully diverse and cute each costume’s individuality is.” She further elaborated on the evolution of costumes since KAWAII LAB.’s inception, noting a shift from subtle member colors to more prominent hues as the groups gained increased media exposure, making it easier for new fans to identify members. She encouraged attendees to explore the intricate details, designer sketches, and member commentaries to gain a richer appreciation for the idols.
Idols Share Their Costume Stories
CANDY TUNE members also offered their unique perspectives on the costumes:
-
Mizuki Kirihara recalled the “One-piece costume” as the most challenging due to its weight and delicate chest jewels, urging visitors to discover the “kawaii” details up close.
-
Natsu Minami expressed her desire to try SWEET STEADY’s “SWEET BLOOM tour costumes” and invited everyone to the exhibition to deepen their love for KAWAII LAB.
-
Nanako Ogawa was particularly impressed by CUTIE STREET’s “Makeup costumes” with their increasing ribbons, asking fans to enjoy the costumes filled with memories and the accompanying “KAWAII Photo Exhibition.”
Exclusive Merchandise and Ticketing Information
Beyond the captivating displays, the exhibition boasts a special merchandise corner. Fans can find limited-edition items such as the “Kawanui no Ouchi Pouch” (a charming home for beloved plushies), can badges, coin cases, and lunch tote bags, all tailored to each group. Tickets are currently available through Lawson Ticket. Each admission includes a choice of a picture ticket from the four groups and a random member sticker (one of 29 types) from the selected group.
