FRUITS ZIPPER’s “NEW KAWAII” Takes Asia by Storm: A Resounding Tour Success
FRUITS ZIPPER, the vibrant idol group known for their distinctive “NEW KAWAII” concept, has triumphantly concluded their first-ever Asia tour, “FRUITS ZIPPER 1st ASIA TOUR 2025 『We are FRUITS ZIPPER』.” The final stop on November 29 (Saturday) at Kwangwoon University’s Donghae Culture & Arts Center in Seoul, South Korea, marked the culmination of a journey that saw the group enthrall audiences across Taipei, Shanghai, and Seoul.
The tour, which began with their first solo concert in Taipei in two and a half years, quickly demonstrated FRUITS ZIPPER’s surging popularity in Asia. Notably, the Shanghai performance sold out instantly, necessitating an additional show to meet fan demand.
Seoul Finale: A “NEW KAWAII” Extravaganza
The Seoul venue buzzed with anticipation as fans eagerly awaited the performance. The members took the stage amidst a roar of cheers, launching into their hit song “Kagami,” which recently earned them an Excellent Work Award at the 67th Japan Record Awards and secured their spot in the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. They continued to electrify the crowd with “Pipo Papo” and “Pure in the World,” rapidly escalating the venue’s energy.
Following self-introductions delivered in Korean, the group performed “Hachamecha Wacha Life!,” the theme song for the popular TV anime “Crayon Shin-chan,” which is also well-known in South Korea. The performance, infused with Crayon Shin-chan’s iconic elements in both lyrics and dance, brought a playful chaos that delighted the audience.
Throughout the mid-section of the concert, FRUITS ZIPPER showcased their versatility with a series of dance-heavy tracks like “We are Frontier” and “Starlight Valkyrie,” delivering breathtaking choreography. This was followed by a segment filled with pure “kawaii” charm, featuring songs such as “Hapichoco” and “Watashi no Ichiban Kawaii Tokoro” (My Most Favorite Part), captivating the audience with their endearing presence. The main set, comprising 17 songs, concluded with “JAM,” “NEW KAWAII,” and the energetic fan-favorite “Kanpeki Shugisha de☆,” leaving the venue brimming with happiness and smiles.

A Heartwarming Fan Surprise
For the encore, the members reappeared on stage in charming Crayon Shin-chan-themed costumes, once again performing “Hachamecha Wacha Life!” with vibrant energy. During the customary commemorative photo session with the audience, fans unveiled a surprise: banners emblazoned with the message, “Is it okay to be this happy in a life where I met Furupaa?” (Furupaa is a nickname for FRUITS ZIPPER). The sight of the unified slogans brought gasps of surprise and joy from the members.
Manaka Mana expressed her heartfelt gratitude in both Japanese and Korean, saying, “You prepared this in secret?! I’m so happy. Kamsahamnida!” The concert concluded with “Cho Omedetai Song ~Konna ni Shiawase de Ii no Kana~,” as the entire venue joined in an “Omedeto~!” (Congratulations!) call, creating a powerful sense of unity.

From Harajuku to the World: The Future of “NEW KAWAII”
Having successfully taken their “NEW KAWAII” from Harajuku to Asia, FRUITS ZIPPER shared unforgettable moments with fans through their music during this tour. As they approach their 4th anniversary, the group is now preparing for their largest-ever solo concert at the Tokyo Dome on February 1, 2026. This monumental event promises to be a spectacular milestone, and it’s exciting to imagine what new horizons FRUITS ZIPPER will explore next as they continue to spread their unique brand of cute culture globally.
Manaka Mana commented on the tour’s success: “We safely completed our Asia tour today. I was worried about how many people would come to our first Asia tour, and if we could fill the venues, but so many people came to see FRUITS ZIPPER from various countries and regions. In February, we have our first Tokyo Dome concert. We are preparing a lot so that we can see a wonderful view together with all the Furupaa fans, so please look forward to it! We will continue to deliver ‘NEW KAWAII’ from Harajuku to the world!”
