Keppate Tohoku Ignites Sendai PIT for Grand Finale

Keppate Tohoku, the dynamic idol group active across both Tohoku and Kanto, recently brought their highly anticipated 3rd one-man live tour, “Furusato 2025,” to a spectacular close at Sendai PIT on November 23. This tour, which saw them traverse all six prefectures of Tohoku, culminated in their largest solo show to date, drawing a passionate crowd eager to witness their journey.

From the moment the members appeared on stage, met with thunderous cheers and an incredible atmosphere, they launched into their debut track, “Tohoku Ai Tamashii” (Tohoku Love Soul), instantly setting the venue ablaze. The performance featured original songs dedicated to each member’s home prefecture, celebrating local charm and identity, alongside “Gekikara-ife,” a lively track born from their collaboration with Hirata Village in Fukushima Prefecture on a habanero ramen product.

Special Guests and Unique Stage Productions Elevate the Show

The excitement soared with the appearance of special guests Panther Ogata and Miyagi’s resident comedian, Yasai Taro. They joined Keppate Tohoku for a series of three engaging challenges, including a “Gesture Game” and “Tohoku Festival Battle Thank You Improv,” filling the venue with laughter and creating memorable interactions that delighted the audience. The presence of a “Sumimasu Geinin,” a comedian living in a specific region to promote local culture, added a unique local flavor to the event.

One of the evening’s highlights included the performance of “Abukyu ni Notte,” a song inspired by the Abukuma Express line connecting Miyagi and Fukushima. Members Kohinata and Fukushima playfully donned conductor uniforms to kick off the song, showcasing their creativity. The group also unveiled the music video for “Tohoku Omatsuri Gassen” (Tohoku Festival Battle), a project brought to life by fan support. The main act concluded with a powerful live band performance, a significant highlight of the tour. Three songs—”Miyagi Biyori,” “Iwate Sanka,” and “Akita Rock ‘n’ Roll”—were delivered with the raw energy of a live band, offering a fresh and impactful dimension to their sound.
