DIANA Corporation, a company committed to “contributing to the creation of a beautiful foot culture,” is poised to launch its inaugural AI avatar customer service at its Shinsaibashi PARCO store on November 30th. This innovative initiative, developed in collaboration with AVITA Inc. and utilizing their “AVACOM” avatar customer service, marks a significant step towards integrating digital experiences into physical retail.

The new avatar system is designed to cater to a global clientele, offering multilingual support in Japanese, English, and Chinese. The aim is to provide customer assistance that mirrors the quality and attentiveness of DIANA’s human staff, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for all. Additionally, the store will feature an AI interactive signage system, “#TeeteeShutter,” also equipped with three-language support.

The avatars themselves are a highlight of this venture. The “AVACOM” service will feature “Pochi,” an original avatar created by 3D artist “Pochi by KT” specifically for metaverse platforms. For the “#TeeteeShutter” system, another original avatar, “Coco-chan – JuiceCocoBlanc,” will greet customers. This strategic use of metaverse-ready avatars is seen as DIANA’s initial stride towards bridging the gap between real-world stores and virtual spaces.

DIANA’s metaverse endeavor extends its core mission of cultivating a “beautiful foot culture” into the virtual realm, allowing customers to enjoy the brand’s fashion offerings in the same way they would in physical reality. The company is actively working on various initiatives that cross between reality and the metaverse, anticipating a future where XR technology becomes commonplace.

To celebrate this launch, DIANA Shinsaibashi PARCO will host a special campaign starting November 30th. Customers who experience the new avatar customer service will receive original stickers featuring the “Pochi” and “Coco-chan” avatars. It’s an invitation to step into a new era of retail, where digital charm meets tangible fashion.

This fusion of AI and fashion is not just a trend; it’s a vibrant step into a future where digital interactions enhance our real-world style. The integration of unique, “kawaii” avatars like Pochi and Coco-chan into physical retail spaces could set a new standard for interactive shopping experiences, making fashion more accessible and engaging for global audiences who appreciate Japanese digital aesthetics. It bridges the gap between digital fandom and tangible consumerism, offering a glimpse into a future where virtual personas become integral to brand identity and customer connection.
